About 10 million people use a CGM worldwide, out of more than 500 million with diabetes, so the segment has a long runway. At a blended 27 sensors per user per year, the world consumes about 270 million CGM sensors annually.
Growth is strong and durable. Dexcom grew 16% in 2025; Abbott's Diabetes Care grew 17.5%.
Neurostimulation

At an average system price near $20,000, that is roughly 280,000 implants a year. This is a high-value, low-volume market, which is the opposite shape from everything MERIDIAN's manufacturing base is built for.
Brain-computer interfaces
Publicly reported implant counts are small and are moving quickly: one 2024 survey put the worldwide total across all programs at about forty. That figure is dated and this analysis does not rest on it. What the disposition rests on is that no implantable BCI has a therapeutic marketing authorization anywhere, and that the clearances which do exist, including Precision Neuroscience's, are for temporary recording rather than for a permanent implant. Precision Neuroscience received 510(k) clearance in 2025 for a 1,024-electrode cortical array cleared for up to 30 days of use, which is a research and monitoring clearance rather than a therapeutic implant.
The "$2.4B to $3.2B BCI market" quoted by several research firms is overwhelmingly non-invasive EEG headsets and research equipment. The implantable BCI market that MERIDIAN's KAIST work addresses has essentially no commercial revenue and will not have material revenue before 2032.
